One of the local dishes you HAVE to try while in Osaka is Takoyaki, where octopuses are cut up and placed in batter to be cooked into a ball in a special takoyaki pan. This special shop right in the heart of Dotonbori has special fillings to choose from, cheese, bacon or shrimp. Ours in the photo is bacon!
Note though, most of the Takoyaki in other places are not as neatly arranged and presented, most are placed in an ordinary plastic dish and thrown bonito flakes and other condiments on, but nevertheless, still tasted delicious. <3
